3 Reasons To Get A French Bulldog Puppy As A Family Pet

If there is someone who breeds and sells French bulldog puppies in your area, you might be thinking of getting one. If you have a family and are looking for a dog that they will love, then a French bulldog is, indeed, a great option. These dogs have so much going for them, not just as puppies, but also once they grow into adults. Here are three good reasons to consider a French bulldog puppy for your family.

French bulldogs are mannerly

Your French bulldog puppy will need to be trained. The best way to do this is generally to bring them to puppy classes, and then also use what you learned in puppy classes to further their training at home. Luckily, these pups learn quickly, and they are happy to embrace manners such as not jumping on the couch, not begging for food, and being polite to strangers—as long as you take the time to teach them these things.

French bulldogs are a good, medium size

When you have kids and a busy family life, sometimes it is easiest to just pick up the dog. If the kids are a little too "all over" the dog, you can pick it up and set it in another room. When it's time to go to the vet, you can pick the dog up and put it in the car. Frenchies are small enough that most people can easily pick them up, even when they are fully grown. However, they are also big enough not to be accidentally kicked about and injured by playful children.

French bulldogs are kind, yet playful

Kids tend to love playing fetch, tug-of-war, and other games with their dogs. You want a dog who is willing to play like this, and who is not going to become aggressive in the process. A Frenchie will fit the bill perfectly. These dogs are playful but very kind. They don't growl or snap, but they will play games all day if your children want them to. Most retain their playfulness as they get older, and the exercise they get from playing is good for their overall health. With regular play, they don't need a lot of walks, which is nice when you have a busy family.

If someone near you breeds French bulldog puppies, go ahead and get one. If you have the time and resources to care for a family dog, this is a great one to get.

I was concerned about keeping them healthy and strong, so I worked hard to read more about what I needed to do each and every day. I was able to completely overhaul my daily routine to accommodate my pets, and it was really rewarding. Within about three weeks, my pets seemed happy, healthy, and strong. This blog is all about learning how to keep your new pets healthy and avoiding some of the common rookie mistakes that could make your pets sick.
